Our ongoing sanctification in Christ will be a constant battle of divine and human will. A vivid wrestling with God for the one self aware. A remnant of our hearts will always resist surrender. Therefore, sanctification is not about elimination of sin, but dilution of it in our lives. The work of God is the ongoing remediation of our lives and the world in the tension of grey areas. This requires a need for grace and compassion toward the world and ourselves as we remain in Christ, but also—to a painful degree— in sin. This reminds us that there will always be a need for many deaths in between our first breath and our last.
Blessings today.
